Polycarbonate

Polycarbonate is a very strong plastic up to 200 times stronger than the same thickness of normal glass. It has many practical uses, ranging from riot shields, machine guards, bus shelters, safety glazing and car / boat windows. And because polycarbonate is UV stabilised for 10 years against yellowing, it's also great for the outdoors - particularly greenhouses and carports.

We stock many thicknesses of polycarbonate sheet from 2mm thickness upwards. Roofing Polycarbonate is available from 4mm twin wall for sheds and greenhouses then we have 10, 16 & 25mm for roofing from carports, pergolas, lean to's to conservatory roof as well as rafter support bars, fixing buttons, edging, tape and accessories. Solid polycarbonate comes in thicknesses of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 & 10 mm. Polycarbonate is half the weight of the same thickness glass and is more flexible. Roofing polycarbonate come in three main colours, clear, opal and bronze. The 25 mm can also come in Heatguard which is silver outside and opal white inside. This helps keep cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter if you have heating in the room.
